Senior Risk Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Risk Manager to lead their enterprise-wide risk management initiatives from their offices in Nelspruit . This pivotal role will involve identifying, assessing, and mitigating a broad range of financial and operational risks. You will develop and implement risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's assets and reputation. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in risk assessment, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and excellent leadership skills, contributing to a culture of proactive risk management and sound governance within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and policies.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize key risks across the organization, including financial, operational, and strategic risks.
• Design and oversee risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
• Monitor and report on the company's risk profile to senior management and the board of directors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing of critical business processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in risk management, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Deep understanding of risk management methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing risk policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience presenting to executive levels.
