Remote Grant Writer

About the Role

Our client, a progressive non-profit organization committed to driving social change, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Grant Writer to join their team. This fully remote position is critical for securing funding to support our diverse range of community programs across South Africa, with a particular focus on initiatives impacting the Eastern Cape. You will be responsible for researching grant opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and managing relationships with foundations and funding bodies. This role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the rewarding experience of contributing to significant charitable causes.

Key Responsibilities

• Research potential funding sources, including government grants, foundations, and corporate sponsorships.
• Develop persuasive and well-researched grant proposals, reports, and applications.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for grant submissions.
• Manage the grant submission process, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with grantors and funding partners.
• Track grant funding and ensure compliance with all reporting obligations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Grant Writer, with a strong portfolio of successful proposals.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Demonstrated ability to research and analyze funding opportunities effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for managing multiple submissions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Familiarity with the non-profit sector and social impact initiatives, especially within the Eastern Cape , is a plus.
