Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Front Office Manager to lead their front desk operations and guest reception services in Mahikeng . This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest service, efficient front desk operations, and effective management of the front office team. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, addressing guest concerns, and coordinating with other hotel departments to guarantee a seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of hotel operations and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the property, and fostering a team environment focused on excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of front office operations, including check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest services.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the front office team to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the front office department.
  • Manage guest relations, handle complaints, and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
  • Monitor room occupancy, rates, and forecast future demand.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Sales) to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure the efficient use of resources within the department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in front office management or a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and reservation software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue management principles.
  • A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is an advantage.
