About the Role

You will be responsible for geological surveys, reservoir engineering, drilling management, and the design of geothermal power plants. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geological and geophysical assessments for geothermal resource potential.
• Perform reservoir engineering studies, including resource evaluation and performance modeling.
• Oversee drilling operations for geothermal wells, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Design and specify components for geothermal power plants and direct use applications.
• Manage environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance for geothermal projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, engineers, and construction crews.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in geothermal energy exploration and project development.
• Proven experience in reservoir modeling, well design, and drilling management for geothermal systems.
• Familiarity with different types of geothermal power plant technologies (e.g., flash steam, binary cycle).
• Strong understanding of the geological context of South Africa relevant to geothermal resources.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage complex technical projects.
