Production Supervisor - Gas Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead their gas operations team in the Centurion area. This role involves the direct supervision of personnel and operations related to the safe and efficient production of natural gas. You will be responsible for monitoring production facilities, implementing operational procedures, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in production supervision within the oil and gas industry and possess strong leadership and problem-solving abilities. This is a key position for ensuring operational excellence and achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor field operators and technicians involved in gas production.
• Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and facility integrity.
• Implement and enforce operational procedures, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations.
• Manage daily production activities to meet or exceed production targets .
• Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Prepare production reports and participate in operational planning meetings.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical) or a related technical field.
• Substantial experience in gas production operations , with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of natural gas processing, compression, and transportation systems.
• Proven ability to manage a team and ensure high standards of safety and performance.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and production monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in Centurion .
