Civil Project Manager - Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Civil Project Manager to lead significant infrastructure development projects in Mahikeng, North West . This senior role requires a proven track record in managing complex projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for strategic planning, resource allocation, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation, driving the success of critical infrastructure initiatives for the region. This is a leadership position offering substantial impact and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full project lifecycle for civil infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans.
• Manage and coordinate all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental legislation.
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives and foster a culture of high performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in project management roles.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, utilities, public facilities).
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, contract administration, and procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
