About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and punctual Local Delivery Driver to join their team in George . You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers within the local area, playing a crucial role in our client's customer satisfaction. This position requires a professional demeanor, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage a delivery schedule efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local geography and a commitment to maintaining the company's reputation for prompt and courteous service. This is a hands-on role directly contributing to the operational success and client experience in the Western Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently plan and execute daily delivery routes within the George area, ensuring all deliveries are made on time.
• Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of all items during transit.
• Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or confirmations upon completion of deliveries.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any delivery-related queries politely and professionally.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures while driving and handling goods.

Requirements

• Valid South African Driver's License (Code 10 preferred).
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transport role.
• Good knowledge of the George area and surrounding routes.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A responsible attitude and commitment to punctuality and reliability.
