About the Role

Our client is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Diesel Mechanic Apprentices in Richards Bay . This apprenticeship provides a comprehensive training program focused on the maintenance, repair, and servicing of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. You will gain practical experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical issues under the guidance of certified mechanics. This is a hands‑on role for individuals passionate about automotive mechanics and eager to develop a skilled trade in a challenging yet rewarding environment, supporting vital logistical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist certified mechanics in performing routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Participate in the repair and replacement of engine parts, brake systems, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations related to workshop operations.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with passes in Mathematics and Physical Science.
• A genuine interest in diesel mechanics and vehicle maintenance.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
