About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Mossel Bay . You will support senior engineers in analyzing production systems, collecting data, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Working primarily on-site, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in a dynamic industrial setting and contribute to the continuous improvement efforts of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Collect and organize production data for performance tracking and analysis.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing tools and techniques under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in process mapping exercises and document current state operations.
- Help in the preparation of reports and presentations on project findings and recommendations.
- Learn and apply industrial engineering principles and best practices in a practical environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
