About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Mechanical Quality Engineer to join their team in Randburg . This role is essential for maintaining and improving the quality of mechanical products and processes throughout their lifecycle. You will be responsible for implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, analyzing quality data, and driving corrective actions to ensure adherence to stringent standards. This is a key position within the engineering department, contributing to product excellence and customer satisfaction in the Gauteng region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to resolve quality issues and improve product reliability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in mechanical manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA).
- Experience with inspection equipment and measurement techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams.
