About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and results-oriented Mortgage Loan Originator to join their team in Stellenbosch. This role is crucial for guiding clients through the mortgage application process, from initial inquiry to loan closing. You will leverage your expertise in mortgage products and the Banking & Finance market to help clients secure the best possible financing for their homeownership dreams. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for helping people achieve their financial objectives, working within a supportive and professional framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new mortgage loan business through prospecting, networking, and client referrals.
• Guide applicants through the entire mortgage process, explaining options and requirements.
• Analyze client financial situations and recommend suitable mortgage products.
• Ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral partners.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and lending policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or in a similar sales role within Banking & Finance.
• Deep understanding of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a pipeline effectively.
• Proficiency in loan origination software and CRM systems.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service in Stellenbosch.
