Remote Instructional Designer - Online Learning

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and skilled Remote Instructional Designer to develop engaging online learning experiences. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will be responsible for translating complex subject matter into effective, user-friendly digital learning modules, courses, and materials. This role demands a strong understanding of adult learning principles, multimedia development, and the ability to work independently to meet project deadlines. You will play a key role in enhancing our digital education platform and ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our global audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging e-learning courses, modules, and training materials using various authoring tools and multimedia technologies.
• Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective and measurable learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content, ensure accuracy, and integrate it into learning solutions.
• Develop assessment strategies, including quizzes, tests, and interactive exercises, to evaluate learner comprehension and retention.
• Create storyboards, scripts, and multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video) to enhance learning experiences.
• Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in designing and developing online learning content.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
• Strong understanding of learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM compliance.
• Excellent visual design skills and experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
