About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and driven Sports Development Officer to join their team in Randburg . This role is focused on promoting community participation in sports, developing grassroots programs, and fostering a love for physical activity across diverse age groups. You will work with local schools, community centers, and sports clubs to create accessible and inclusive sporting opportunities. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage community sports programs and initiatives targeting various demographics.
• Identify and engage with local stakeholders, including schools, community groups, and sports organizations, to build partnerships.
• Promote participation in sports and physical activity through outreach events and educational campaigns.
• Secure funding and resources for sports development projects through grant writing and sponsorship acquisition.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, reporting on outcomes and impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Community Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sports development , community engagement, or program management.
• Strong understanding of the principles of grassroots sports development and inclusive participation.
• Excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills .
• Passion for promoting health and well-being through sports in community settings.
