About the Role

Our client seeks a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Engineer to join their facilities management team in Centurion . This critical role ensures the operational integrity and reliability of all industrial machinery and infrastructure within their state-of-the-art facilities. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies, responding to urgent repair needs, and optimizing equipment performance to support production goals. The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical knowledge of industrial systems and a proven track record of effective maintenance management in a demanding operational environment within Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all industrial equipment.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, performing timely and effective repairs.
• Oversee major repair projects, including equipment overhauls and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and address potential equipment failures before they impact output.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations pertaining to industrial maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industry setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC programming, and automation technologies.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools, predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging), and CMMS software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead and mentor a maintenance team.
• Commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of installation and maintenance best practices in Centurion .
