About the Role

Our client is actively recruiting an enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber for residential services in Port Elizabeth . This apprenticeship is designed for individuals eager to build a successful career in the plumbing trade, offering comprehensive training and hands-on experience. You will work alongside skilled plumbers, learning all aspects of installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in homes. This is a field-based role requiring you to be present at various client sites throughout Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman plumbers in the installation and repair of water, drainage, and gas systems.
• Learn to safely operate plumbing tools and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to understand plumbing layouts.
• Help diagnose plumbing issues and perform basic repairs under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at job sites.
• Ensure all plumbing work complies with local building codes and safety standards.

Requirements

• A strong commitment to learning the plumbing trade and completing all apprenticeship requirements.
• Good physical condition, capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable and punctual with excellent time management abilities.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions meticulously.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
