Field Service Technician

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test new equipment at customer locations according to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative servicing on installed systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, diagnosing root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Provide technical assistance and training to customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures while on customer premises.

Requirements

• A technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to repairs.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel within the Bloemfontein region.
