About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Investment Banker Associate to join their busy corporate finance team in Rustenburg. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex M&A transactions, capital raising, and strategic advisory services for a diverse range of clients in the banking and finance sector. You will be involved in all stages of the deal process, from financial modeling and due diligence to client presentations and deal execution. The ideal candidate possesses a strong quantitative background, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for corporate finance and deal-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop intricate financial models for valuation, mergers & acquisitions, and capital raising activities.
• Conduct in-depth industry research and company-specific analysis to support transaction strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, including pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and management presentations.
• Perform financial due diligence and support transaction execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers on deal origination and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a highly analytical finance role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and PowerPoint for presentation development.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and valuation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
