About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Production Manager to oversee all aspects of their manufacturing operations in Upington . This leadership role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating production activities to achieve optimal efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will lead the production team, implement operational strategies, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong managerial skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence and team performance in a demanding industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic production plans to meet organizational objectives.
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Manage and lead the production team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor production processes, implement process enhancements, and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production management role within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
- Proven leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and production management software.
