Forklift Operator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join their logistics team in Stellenbosch . You will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse. This role is critical for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring the safety of the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift license, a strong safety record, and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role, contributing to the operational efficiency of the distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move palletized goods, raw materials, and finished products.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper stacking and organization.
• Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse duties as required.

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Operator license and proven operating experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of forklift safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
