Delivery Driver

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and punctual Delivery Driver to join their logistics team in Midrand. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. This role is crucial to our client's operations, ensuring the smooth flow of products and materials throughout the region. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, possesses excellent time management skills, and thrives in an active, on-the-go work environment. You will be a key representative of the company during deliveries, upholding a professional image at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle for local and regional deliveries according to schedule.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are properly secured for transport.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and other navigation tools.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues immediately.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures upon completion.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid South African Driver's License (Code 10/EC) with PDP.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Familiarity with the Midrand area and surrounding routes.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 25kg).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
