Event Catering Assistant Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Event Catering Assistant Manager to support the Catering Manager in overseeing operations in Mahikeng . This role involves assisting with event planning, client liaison, staff supervision, and ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality catering services. You will gain hands-on experience in all facets of event management, contributing to client satisfaction and the overall success of the catering business. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Catering Manager in planning and executing all aspects of catered events.


• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.


• Supervise catering staff during events, ensuring efficient service and adherence to standards.


• Help manage inventory, food preparation schedules, and event logistics.


• Conduct pre-event briefings with the team to ensure clarity on roles and responsibilities.


• Assist with post-event reconciliation, including stock takes and client feedback collection.

Requirements

• Previous experience in event coordination, catering, or hospitality management.


• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.


• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and event management software is a plus.


• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required in Mahikeng .
