About the Role Our client is looking for a meticulous and analytical Credit Analyst to join their team in Randburg. This role is essential for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and existing clients, ensuring the financial health and stability of the institution. You will analyze financial statements, assess risks, and make recommendations on loan approvals and terms. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of financial principles within a dedicated, office-based finance team. Key Responsibilities Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data to assess the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses. Determine loan eligibility and recommend appropriate credit limits and terms. Monitor existing loan portfolios for signs of financial distress and risk. Prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for loan committees. Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk. Collaborate with loan officers and relationship managers to support client needs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or a related financial role. Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and risk assessment. Proficiency in financial modeling and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
