Registered Podiatrist
About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Podiatrist to join their multidisciplinary healthcare team in Upington . This role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions affecting the feet, ankles, and lower legs. You will provide comprehensive patient care, including preventative measures, therapeutic treatments, and patient education, to improve mobility and quality of life. The ideal candidate is adept at clinical assessments, treatment planning, and possesses excellent patient communication skills within a community health setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostic tests to identify foot and ankle pathologies. Develop and implement treatment plans for a variety of conditions, including biomechanical issues, sports injuries, and dermatological problems of the foot. Perform therapeutic interventions such as nail surgery, callus removal, and verruca treatment. Prescribe and fit orthotic devices to correct biomechanical abnormalities and alleviate pain. Educate patients on proper foot care, footwear selection, and preventative strategies. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with professional standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Podiatry and registration with the relevant professional body. Proven experience as a Registered Podiatrist . Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions. Skills in performing minor surgical procedures and fitting orthotics. Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with patients of all ages.
