Test and Validation Mechanical Engineer

About the Role Our client is seeking a meticulous Test and Validation Mechanical Engineer to join their product development team in Nelspruit . This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability, durability, and performance of new and existing mechanical products through rigorous testing protocols. You will design, develop, and execute test plans, analyze results, and provide critical feedback to the design teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and procedures for mechanical components and systems. Design, build, and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and data acquisition systems. Conduct various mechanical tests, including durability, fatigue, vibration, thermal, and performance testing. Analyze test data, identify failure modes, and generate detailed test reports with recommendations. Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot issues and validate design improvements. Ensure test activities comply with industry standards and company quality procedures. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 4+ years of experience in mechanical test engineering, validation, or product development. Proficiency with testing equipment , instrumentation, and data acquisition systems. Experience with test automation and scripting is a plus. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex test data. Knowledge of various industry testing standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) is desirable.
