Senior Data Scientist - Finance

About the Role Our client, a forward-thinking financial technology company operating remotely, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist . This position will focus on leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to extract actionable insights from complex financial datasets. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for applications such as fraud detection, credit scoring, and algorithmic trading. Perform advanced statistical analysis and data mining on large, complex datasets. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate business requirements into data science solutions. Develop and maintain data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity. Communicate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth. Requirements Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of professional experience in data science, with a focus on financial applications. Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques. Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
