About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join their forward-thinking product development team, fully remote. You will be responsible for creating robust, efficient, and maintainable code, collaborating with hardware and software teams, and driving the firmware development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollers using C/C++. Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, and power consumption. Develop and maintain drivers for various hardware peripherals and interfaces. Collaborate with hardware engineers to define firmware requirements and troubleshoot integration issues. Implement real-time operating systems (RTOS ) and related software components. Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and validation of firmware to ensure product quality and reliability in a remote setup. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in firmware development for embedded systems. Expertise in C and C++ programming languages. Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, hardware-software interaction, and debugging techniques. Experience with RTOS , communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART), and bootloaders. Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote team environment.
