Corporate Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the mining sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Corporate Compliance Officer to oversee and enhance their compliance framework in Polokwane . This role is crucial for ensuring the company operates ethically and in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive corporate compliance programs.
• Monitor adherence to relevant laws, regulations (e.g., POPIA, King IV), and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for compliance-related risks.
• Develop and deliver compliance training to employees at all levels.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors on compliance matters.

Requirements

• A legal background (Admitted Attorney or similar) with at least 5 years of experience in compliance or regulatory affairs.
• In-depth knowledge of South African corporate governance and compliance regulations .
• Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
