Civil Engineer - Roads and Highways

About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to contribute to their dynamic roads and highways division based in Sandton . You will be involved in the design, planning, and execution of various road infrastructure projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with engineering standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of road networks, including geometric design, pavement analysis, and drainage. Conduct traffic studies and feasibility assessments for new road projects. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities. Support project managers in contract administration and site supervision activities. Ensure all designs and construction methods comply with relevant transportation standards and safety regulations. Requirements BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in road and highway design projects. Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software. Good understanding of pavement design, traffic engineering principles, and drainage systems. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
