About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and highly organized Remote Catering Event Planner to join their team, focusing on delivering exceptional catering experiences for clients in Nelspruit and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and flawlessly executing catering for a wide range of events, all from a remote location. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life through exquisite food, impeccable service, and seamless logistics. Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their event requirements, theme, budget, and desired atmosphere.


• Develop unique and appealing menu proposals, considering dietary needs, seasonal ingredients, and client preferences.


• Source and manage relationships with high-quality vendors and suppliers to ensure the best products and services.


• Create detailed event plans, including timelines, staffing needs, floor plans, and logistical coordination for on-site teams.


• Oversee the remote execution of events, providing clear direction and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.


• Conduct post-event debriefs with clients and internal teams to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, specifically with a focus on catering.


• Demonstrated creativity in menu design and event conceptualization.


• Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail.


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills, proven effective in a remote setting.


• Proficiency in using event management software , CRM systems, and virtual collaboration tools.


• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and catering operational best practices.
