About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and organized Catering Operations Assistant to support their team in Soweto . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth running of daily catering operations, assisting with event preparation, service delivery, and clean-up. You will work closely with the catering supervisor and team members to uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and setup of food and beverage stations for various catering events.
• Support the catering team during service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of meals and refreshments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and service areas, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies.
• Assist with the breakdown and clean-up of event spaces post-service.
• Provide general support to the catering supervisor and team as needed to ensure operational success.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within the catering or food service industry is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
