Quality Assurance Officer - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join their FMCG production facility in Benoni. This position is essential for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements before reaching consumers. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and maintaining detailed records. This is a critical role for an individual passionate about product integrity and safety within the fast-paced FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Monitor compliance with all relevant food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
• Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Calibrate and maintain quality control equipment.
• Prepare and maintain accurate quality records and reports for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Officer or in a similar QA role within the FMCG sector.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in documentation and report writing.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
