Assistant Hotel Manager - East London

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Hotel Manager to support the General Manager in the daily operations of their hotel in East London . This role involves overseeing various departments, ensuring high standards of service delivery, assisting with staff management, and contributing to the hotel's profitability. You will gain comprehensive experience across all hotel functions, working closely with department heads to maintain operational excellence and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong leadership potential, and can effectively balance on‑site responsibilities with remote administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day hotel operations across all departments.
• Support department managers in achieving operational and financial goals.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest services and resolve guest issues effectively.
• Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and managing operational costs.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance are met.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role.
• Strong understanding of hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, and F&B.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and standard office applications.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
