Senior Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team in Tembisa . This role is crucial in bridging the gap between design concepts and construction reality, ensuring that architectural plans are technically sound, buildable, and meet stringent quality standards. You will play a key part in project delivery, working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to translate complex designs into detailed construction documentation. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from the office, fostering collaboration and providing access to on-site project engagement, contributing significantly to the successful realization of diverse architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using BIM software .
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate services into the architectural design.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Manage and review shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and other relevant CAD/BIM software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
• Experience in site supervision and quality control.
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.
