Credit Risk Analyst

Our client is seeking a sharp and experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join their fully remote financial services team. This role is critical in assessing and managing credit risk exposure for the company's diverse portfolio. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, developing risk assessment models, and providing recommendations to mitigate potential losses. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, possesses a keen eye for detail, and thrives in an independent, virtual work environment, contributing to the company's robust risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other data sources to evaluate creditworthiness of applicants and counterparties.
• Develop, implement, and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment methodologies.
• Monitor existing credit exposures, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate actions.
• Prepare regular reports on credit risk metrics, trends, and portfolio quality for senior management.
• Collaborate with lending teams and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related banking/financial services role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suited for a remote work setup.
