Robot Technician / Industrial Electrician

We're recruiting for an experienced Robot Technician / Industrial Electrician to join an established manufacturing operation.

The position will focus on the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of industrial robotic equipment and associated production machinery. You'll also support preventative maintenance activities, equipment installations and ongoing improvements to plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance in line with maintenance schedules
• Diagnose electrical, electronic and equipment faults and carry out appropriate repairs
• Work extensively with ABB and KUKA robotic systems
• Assist with maintenance and fault finding on presses and related production equipment
• Support new equipment, project and robotic installations
• Interpret electrical and electronic drawings when diagnosing faults
• Complete maintenance records, job cards and timesheets accurately
• Work in accordance with internal quality standards and procedures
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with SHEQ requirements
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives

What You'll Need

• Min. Diploma or relevant technical qualification
• Qualified Electrician, Millwright, Mechatronics Technician or relevant Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering qualification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in robotic maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on working knowledge of KUKA robots
• Experience with industrial fault finding, repair and preventative maintenance
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting presses would be advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic drawings
• Good understanding of manufacturing and quality systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a production-driven manufacturing environment
