About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and imaginative Exhibit Designer to join their esteemed museum services team in Rustenburg . This role is crucial in bringing exhibitions to life, creating immersive and educational experiences for visitors. You will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and development of exhibition spaces, from initial sketches to final installation. Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design engaging and informative museum exhibits, considering visitor flow, accessibility, and thematic coherence.
• Develop detailed design documentation, including floor plans, renderings, models, and material specifications.
• Collaborate with curators, researchers, fabricators, and educators to ensure exhibit content and design are aligned.
• Select appropriate materials, lighting, and interactive elements to enhance the visitor experience.
• Oversee the fabrication and installation process, ensuring designs are executed to a high standard and within budget.
• Research and stay updated on best practices in exhibition design, museum interpretation, and audience engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Exhibit Designer or in a related field (e.g., architectural design, interior design with a focus on public spaces).
• A strong portfolio showcasing innovative exhibition designs and spatial concepts.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software such as SketchUp , Rhino, or similar.
• Excellent understanding of museum best practices, visitor engagement strategies, and accessibility standards.
• Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
