Hygiene Services Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Hygiene Services Officer to oversee and implement comprehensive hygiene and sanitation programs at their facilities in Richards Bay . This role is critical for ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a pristine environment, particularly in settings where food safety or public health is a concern. You will be responsible for developing cleaning schedules, supervising cleaning staff, managing supplies, and conducting regular inspections to ensure all standards are met and exceeded. The ideal candidate is meticulous, knowledgeable in hygiene protocols, and possesses strong leadership skills to guide the cleaning team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene and sanitation protocols across all facilities.
• Supervise and train a team of cleaning staff, ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to identify areas requiring attention and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Investigate and address any hygiene-related complaints or incidents promptly and effectively.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, inspections, and staff performance.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hygiene management or supervisory cleaning role.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation practices, and relevant health and safety legislation.
