About the Role

Our client, a leading adventure tourism operator based near Paarl , is looking for enthusiastic and experienced Adventure Tourism Guides to lead exciting outdoor excursions. You will be responsible for guiding groups through scenic landscapes, ensuring their safety, and providing an informative and exhilarating experience. This role requires individuals with a strong passion for the outdoors, excellent guiding skills, and a commitment to showcasing the natural beauty of the Western Cape . You will be an ambassador for responsible tourism and unforgettable adventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead guided tours and activities such as hiking, cycling, or other adventure sports according to predetermined routes and schedules.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the excursion, managing risks effectively.
• Provide engaging commentary on local history, flora, fauna, and geographical features.
• Manage group dynamics, ensuring all participants are comfortable and have a positive experience.
• Maintain and ensure the proper use of all equipment necessary for the activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Adventure Guide or in a similar outdoor leadership role.
• Certification in relevant fields such as First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, or specific activity qualifications (e.g., cycling, hiking).
• Excellent navigational and risk assessment skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to connect with diverse groups of people.
• A deep appreciation for nature and a commitment to conservation principles.
