Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Upington . This role is integral to designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing and production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work on projects aimed at improving existing processes and developing new ones to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and a keen ability to solve complex operational problems, contributing to the company's growth and success in a key industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure optimal efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues on the production floor, implementing immediate and long-term solutions.
• Conduct process validation and qualification activities to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and R&D, to implement process changes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and batch records.
• Analyze process data to identify trends, optimize parameters, and drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of process design, optimization, and scale-up principles.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
• Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving in a production setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
