About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their security team in Nelspruit . In this role, you will proactively identify security vulnerabilities in our client's networks, applications, and systems by simulating real-world cyberattacks. Your expertise will be crucial in helping our client strengthen their defenses and protect against potential breaches. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, networks, and cloud environments.
- Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and provide detailed reports with actionable remediation recommendations.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to aid in the penetration testing process.
- Stay current with the latest penetration testing methodologies, tools, and exploit techniques.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to communicate findings and guide remediation efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or in a similar ethical hacking role.
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
- Strong understanding of web application security, network protocols, and common vulnerabilities.
- Excellent report writing skills, clearly articulating technical findings and risks.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly desirable.
