Description
The Associate Inspection and Testing Engineer supports testing and commissioning activities for protection, control and substation automation systems. The role involves conducting functional testing, preparing technical documentation, participating in Factory Acceptance Testing, assisting with troubleshooting and commissioning, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and engineering standards. The position also provides opportunities to work with Commissioning Engineers and gain practical experience in power system and substation applications.

Responsibilities
- Support Test Engineers in conducting product, panel and system testing activities.
- Prepare standard test procedures, test records and technical documentation.
- Perform functional testing of protection, control, and substation automation schemes.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities with customers and stakeholders.
- Follow established work plans, schedules, and cost estimates within your area of responsibility.
- Support the timely and cost-effective delivery of testing and commissioning activities.
- Assist with risk assessments to ensure safe systems of work.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of protection relays, protection and control schemes, and substation automation systems.
- Experience with testing and engineering tools, particularly Omicron Test Universe and Hitachi PCM600, is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, relay settings, schematics and control logic documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing environments, work independently and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
