Real Estate Portfolio Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and organized Real Estate Portfolio Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of properties in Upington and the surrounding Northern Cape region. This role involves maximizing the value and performance of investment properties through effective management of leasing, operations, and financial reporting. You will be responsible for tenant relations, property maintenance oversight, budget management, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a critical position for an experienced professional who can drive profitability and maintain the highest standards of property management in the challenging Upington market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the performance of a portfolio of commercial and residential properties.
• Oversee tenant relations, lease administration, and ensure high occupancy rates.
• Develop and manage property operating budgets, controlling expenses and maximizing profitability.
• Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects to ensure properties are well-maintained.
• Conduct regular property inspections and performance reviews to identify opportunities for value enhancement.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and performance analyses for stakeholders regarding the Upington property portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management or portfolio management, preferably in commercial real estate.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and real estate investment strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio and navigate the nuances of the Northern Cape property market.
