About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Neuroscientist to join their leading research institute in Nelspruit . This critical role will drive forward our understanding of neurological disorders and the development of novel therapeutic interventions. You will lead research projects investigating brain function, neurodegenerative diseases, and neural plasticity. The position demands a strong background in experimental neuroscience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage research teams and projects effectively within a state-of-the-art laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct advanced experiments in neuroscience, utilizing techniques such as electrophysiology, imaging, and behavioral analysis.

• Manage research projects, including budget oversight, experimental planning, and data interpretation.
• Mentor and guide junior researchers, post-doctoral fellows, and technicians.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant research experience in neuroscience.
• Proven expertise in a variety of neuroscience techniques and experimental models.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for data interpretation.
• Experience in leading research projects and mentoring staff.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
