Financial Planning Manager

About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Planning Manager to lead their financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, operating remotely to serve their South African operations. This role is responsible for developing long-term financial strategies, managing the budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing critical financial insights to senior leadership. You will drive financial discipline and strategic decision-making by delivering accurate, timely, and relevant financial information. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial modeling, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company strategy. Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making. Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management. Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for executive review. Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, tracking progress against goals. Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and provide support. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or a similar role. Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
