About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Project Manager to spearhead renewable energy projects in the Mossel Bay region. This role is essential for driving the development and implementation of solar, wind, and other sustainable energy solutions that contribute to a greener future. You will manage all phases of project lifecycles, from feasibility studies and site acquisition to construction, commissioning, and grid connection. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects, including solar farms and wind energy installations.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed within financial and schedule constraints.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progress.
- Oversee site selection, permitting, and environmental impact assessments for new projects.
- Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Communicate project status, risks, and key milestones effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with specific experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind), project development lifecycles, and grid integration.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, schedules, and external contractors. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
