Mechanical Engineer - Product Development

Our client seeks a dynamic Mechanical Engineer specializing in Product Development to join their innovative team in Mossel Bay . Key Responsibilities Design and develop new mechanical components and systems using 3D CAD modeling software. Conduct engineering analysis, including tolerance analysis and basic stress calculations, to ensure design integrity. Create detailed manufacturing drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation for production. Collaborate with prototyping teams to build and test new product designs, iterating based on results. Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are optimized for mass production. Document design processes, test results, and design changes thoroughly. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. 2-4 years of experience in product development or mechanical design roles. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and basic understanding of engineering simulation tools. Familiarity with various manufacturing processes relevant to product design.
