About the Role
The HR Practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive, hands-on Human Resources support across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on Employee Relations, HR Operations, compliance and employee experience.
Working closely with Operations and business leadership, the role provides practical HR guidance, manages employee-related matters and ensures that HR processes are applied consistently, fairly and in line with South African employment legislation and company policies.
This is a highly operational role suited to an HR professional who is comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and dealing confidently with complex employee and workplace matters in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION INFO:
Key Focus Areas Employee Relations : Managing investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, and workplace concerns with fairness and compliance. HR Operations : Overseeing the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit while ensuring accurate HR administration. Payroll & Benefits : Coordinating payroll inputs, resolving discrepancies, and guiding employees on benefits. Compliance : Ensuring alignment with South African labor laws like the LRA, BCEA, and POPIA. Employee Experience : Driving engagement, recognition, and wellness initiatives. Recruitment Support : Partnering with managers to align hiring and workforce planning with operational needs. Skills & Experience Required 3-6 years in HR generalist or employee relations roles. Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment, preferably a contact centre, BPO or similar environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with employees and leadership at all levels. Strong investigation, analytical, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. High level of integrity, sound judgement and a practical approach to resolving workplace matters. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate HR documentation and compliance. Why Join Us?
