Role Summary
The Golf Project Manager is responsible for supporting divisional and organizational financial targets through professional, effective, and profitable event and project management methodologies. The role involves end-to-end management of multiple events and existing golf sponsorship accounts, applying sponsorship principles, driving commercial success, and maintaining strong client and rights-owner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Client Account & Sponsorship Management

Manage and nurture client relationships, conceptualizing commercial proposals and strategies.

Oversee marketing content, player management, and activation support.

Understand contractual deliverables, brief legal contracts, and respond to proposals.

Schedule and conduct regular status meetings with clients, maintaining precise documentation (operations reports, minutes, scope change budgets).

Build rapport across multiple executive levels to retain clients and generate new business opportunities.

Prepare and present creative tender proposals, pitch methodologies, and budgets.

Ensure total delivery of contractual rights including broadcast, media, supplier, logistics, and rights-owner requirements.
Project & Event Operations

Manage high-quality events through all stages: conceptualization, planning, implementation, reporting, and debriefing.

Implement operational tools including rollout plans, event specification guides, risk assessments, and templates.

Interpret client creative briefs and translate them into actionable briefs for creative teams and business partners.

Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks promptly to protect client and company interests.

Integrate product offerings, experiential activations, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives into project plans.
Financial Management

Prepare, manage, and report on all financial aspects of allocated events, including income, expenses, and budgeting.

Ensure division revenue targets (secured and stretch) are consistently met or exceeded.

Apply cost-saving techniques to maximize profitability while delivering world-class events.

Manage purchase orders, contractual deposits, and client payments in accordance with agreed terms.
People & Administrative Leadership

Supervise and guide Golf Project Coordinators and Administrators.

Review submitted project plans and perform quality checks on financial budgets.
-
Submit weekly status reports to the Head of Division detailing activity, risks, opportunities, and achievements.

Enforce strict adherence to internal operational policies, financial systems, and management controls.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
-
Relevant Diploma or Degree qualification.
-
Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in Event / Project Management.

Proven hands-on experience managing large supplier accounts in a fast-paced, pressurized environment.
