Diesel Mechanic

Well-established manufacturing company is looking to employ a Diesel Mechanic at their plant near Piet Retief (Mkhondo), Mpumalanga. You will be responsible to carry out skilled diesel and petrol vehicle and machines planned, unscheduled and breakdown maintenance, as well as project work on the site. Also, to supervise a repair shop and to carry out standby duties as required.

For the position you would be required to have:

• Grade 12 with core Mathematics.
• Minimum of N3 in Mechanical Engineering.
• MUST BE TRADE TESTED DIESEL MECHANIC.
• At least 5 years’ motor mechanic maintenance in a heavy industry factory.
• Unendorsed Code EC vehicle license.
• Computer literate in Microsoft 365 suite.
• Ability to communicate in English competently.
• Clear criminal record.

Responsibilities would include you to:

• Perform equipment inspections and ensure that daily work activities are executed effectively.
• Supervise repair shop.
• Ensure effective performance of workshop team and subordinates.
• Comply with the production and safety procedures.
• Comply with the requirements of Quality Management Systems, company policies and OHSA.

Salary around R450k per annum + excellent benefits
