Job Title: External Sales Consultant (Paint and Coatings)

Type: Permanent /Environment: Field, Client site and Office and trade counter environment within a manufacturing site.

About the Role
The External Sales Consultant is responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and generating sales by meeting customers in the field.

• Client visits
• Relationship Management
• Sales presentations and quotations
• Achieving sales targets
• Negotiations
• Order management
• Market research
• Lead generation and follow up
• Technical/product support
• Relative required administration duties

What you’ll need

• Matric / Grade 12; relevant sales or business administration qualification advantageous
• 2–5 years’ external sales, in paint/coatings a must have
• Experience processing orders on an ERP system; SAP Business One advantageous
• Fluent, professional English on the phone and in writing; additional South African languages advantageous.
• Product knowledge of paints and coatings
• Accuracy under pressure
• Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiency
• Customer-first temperament
• Direct, clear communication
• Integrity and confidentiality

A Few Things to Know

• Field and client visit and Office and trade counter environment within a manufacturing site.
• Standard hours Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30.
• Occasional overtime at month-end or during peak demand, included in the cost-to-company package
• Predominantly client facing occasional assistance in the dispatch area.
